PHC Gharuan Team Conducts Survey on Migratory Fever
Gharuan, September 15:- As per the directions of the Punjab Government and Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain, a special survey regarding migratory fever was conducted by the health team of PHC Gharuan in a slum area located near Chandigarh University under the leadership of Senior Medical Officer Dr. Preet Mohan Singh Khurana.
During the survey, health workers Baljinder Singh, Manpreet Singh and breeding checkers of PHC Gharuan visited households to collect information regarding the health of residents. Rapid Diagnostic Test (RDT) kits were used to examine persons having fever or fever-related symptoms, and health-related advice was provided as required.
Senior Medical Officer Dr. Preet Mohan Singh Khurana said that timely surveys and testing in areas with a migrant population are very important for preventing diseases. He said that the Health Department is ensuring immediate testing of suspected cases while also creating awareness among people about fever, mosquito-borne diseases and other related health problems.
He appealed to the people that in case of fever, instead of taking medicines on their own, they should get themselves examined at the nearest government health centre and extend full cooperation to the Health Department teams during the survey.
