PGIMER Chandigarh holding an Update on Childhood Neuromuscular Disorders

Chandigarh, 20 August:- *The Pediatric Neurology Unit in the Department of Pediatrics at the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh,* is set to host a twoday conference on “ *Childhood Neuromuscular Disorders” on August 21–22, 2026 at the Advanced Pediatrics Centre.* The event is being organized under the distinguished aegis of the *World Muscle Society and the Association of Child Neurology India.*
The conference will bring together a diverse and highly accomplished group of experts from across India, alongside internationally renowned faculty from the United States, France, and Australia. *Over the two days, specialists will deliberate on the full spectrum of childhood neuromuscular disorders including SMA, DMD, Muscular dystrophies. Discussion will cover early diagnosis, genetic testing, emerging therapeutics, and longterm multidisciplinary care* . The meeting aims to strengthen clinical collaboration and highlight the rapid scientific advances transforming the field.
A dedicated handson workshop for students and trainees will precede the main sessions, offering practical exposure to clinical examination techniques, electrophysiology, and casebased learning.
