PEC Team Secures First Prize at IETE Chandigarh Science Quiz

Chandigarh: 01st April, 2026:- Students from Punjab Engineering College (Deemed to be University), Chandigarh have brought pride to their institution by securing first prize at the Science Quiz organized by the Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) Chandigarh Centre on 25th March 2026. The achievement was earned by members of PEC’s IETE Student Chapter, who showcased exceptional knowledge and quick thinking in a highly competitive environment.
The winning team comprised Raaghav Arora (2nd Year), Avi Sinha (4th Year) and Daksh Mehla (4th Year). Their coordinated effort and strong grasp of scientific concepts helped them outperform other teams.
The quiz competition was held at the IETE office in Chandigarh and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students across the region (14 teams). The PEC team demonstrated remarkable understanding across diverse scientific domains, including electronics, communication and emerging technologies.
The IETE Student Chapter at PEC functions under the guidance of Dr. Simranjit Singh, whose mentorship has been instrumental in encouraging students to actively participate in such academic events. Faculty coordinators and peers congratulated the team, praising their dedication, teamwork and academic excellence.
