Paryushan Mahaparva is a Festival of SelfPurification and NonViolence Sadhvi Bhagwati

Hansi, September 15:- Samvatsari was observed at Terapanth Bhawan in the presence of Sadhvi Shri Bhagwati. It is a special day of the Paryushan Mahaparva, which is observed by the Jain community. This information was shared by Sachin Jain, Media In-charge of Terapanth Sabha.
Addressing the devotees, Sadhvi Bhagwati said that Paryushan holds great importance in Jainism. During the festival, followers engage in chanting throughout the week and give up their favourite things as a form of renunciation. The festival is being observed today as Samvatsari. On this day, followers observe a fast, break the fast the following morning and seek forgiveness from every living being.
On the occasion, Terapanth Sabha President Subhash Jain also appealed to the general public to resolve to follow the path of non-violence, compassion towards living beings and truth during these sacred days and to give up eating at night.
Members of Terapanth Sabha, Terapanth Mahila Mandal, Terapanth Yuva Parishad, Terapanth Professional Forum and Tulsi Kalyan Kendra were present on the occasion.
