Giving information about the meeting, the State General Secretary of the organization Jasvir Singh Sira, and State Secretary Jaswinder Singh Sauja said that several meetings were held with the Forest Minister and the Finance Minister regarding the demands of the workers working in the Forest and Wildlife Department.
In which the remaining 14 workers who had completed 10 years in the Forest and Wildlife Department till 2006 were to be made permanent and the senior illiterate workers were to be made permanent without any conditions, but the government did not make a single illiterate worker permanent.
State Chairman Virsa Singh Chahal, Finance Secretary Amandeep Singh, Senior Vice President Ranjit Singh Gurdaspur, Balbir Singh Tarn Taran and Satnam Sangtivala (Sangrur) issued a statement to the press and said that the senior illiterate workers of the Forest and Wildlife Department have been regularized by the Punjab Government under the decision of the Honorable High Court. Efforts are being made by the Punjab Government to make the remaining senior illiterate workers permanent.
And the Chief Minister of Punjab has given appointment letters to the workers of the Forest and Wildlife Department on 30 July 2025 at Tagore Theatre, Chandigarh, and big boards have been installed and crores of rupees have been spent on advertising, but these workers are not even being paid salaries and the government has made a joke. Due to which there is huge protest and unrest among the field workers. For which the organization decided that a state-level protest will be held on 14 February in the assembly constituency of the Finance Minister, Dirba (Sangrur).
Ser Singh Sirhind, Ravikant Ropar, Babbu Singh Mansa, Kewal Krishan Nawanshahr, Ravi Ludhiana and Malkit Singh Muktsar informed the press that the demands of the daily wage workers working in the Forest and Wildlife Department are being resolved to make them permanent without conditions, to run new works in the department, to take care of trees and animals, etc.
Because in the past, during the Akali and Congress governments, forest workers were made permanent without conditions, but now the Aam Aadmi Party government is imposing conditions for making the employees permanent, this government is far from making the senior illiterate raw workers who are being buried in the 16-05-2023 policy permanent, but the Honorable High Court and the Honorable Supreme Court have given age limit and educational relaxation to 378 workers.
But this government has imposed a retirement condition of 58 years for making 506 raw employees of the Forest Department permanent. Along with this, in the final seniority list of the Forest and Wildlife Protection Department of Punjab on 16-05-2023, those workers who are illiterate and older than 378,506 are being left out of regularization. When meetings were held with the officials of the Forest Department, they also talked about the rights of the employees, but this government is against the workers and employees. This demonstration will be held in protest of which.
