OBC Front Punjab submits memorandum seeking implementation of 27 reservation

Patiala, September 10:- A meeting was held today, dated 10/9/26, by Shri Malkit Singh Thind, Chairman, BC Wing Punjab, at the Circuit House, Patiala. Responsible representatives from various communities participated in the meeting. Advocate Rajinder Singh Mohal conducted the proceedings and welcomed Shri Malkit Singh Thind, Chairman, BC Wing Punjab, and honoured him by presenting him with a siropa.
Various speakers raised issues regarding the issuance of BC certificates and demanded the implementation of 27% reservation for the Backward Classes. Shri Amarjit Singh Ramgarhia, State Member, Ramgarhia Welfare Board, told Shri Malkit Singh that the BC certificate process should be simplified as per the instructions of the DOPT and that once a certificate has been issued, it should be considered valid permanently.
OBC Front President Sardar Sukhdev Singh Aulakh submitted a memorandum to OBC Commission Chairman Malkit Singh Thind seeking implementation of 27% reservation. In his address, Chairman Shri Malkit Singh Thind assured that the difficulties being faced by the BC community would be resolved and apprised those present of the facilities being provided to the BC Wing. He also assured that the forms would be simplified soon.
He also directed the ADC Patiala to put up flex boards at every DC office displaying information about the facilities available to people belonging to the OBC and BC categories.
On this occasion, Jagdish Rajoria, Chairman, OBC Front, Kirpal Singh Bathoi, Comrade Raj Kishan Noor Kherian, Dr. Gian Singh Amloh, Jatinder Singh Ramgarhia Amloh, Harpal Singh Pali, Chairman, Ramgarhia Welfare Board Patiala Rural, Amarjit Saini Ghanaur and many other prominent members of the Kamboj, Gujjar and Saini communities were present at the meeting.
At the end, Rajinder Singh Mohal thanked all the members who attended the meeting.
