No dream of life is fulfilled with drugs Project Director Chaman Singh

Nawanshahr- Red Cross Integrated Rehabilitation Center for Drug Victims Nawanshahr organized an anti-drug awareness camp under the "Drug-Free India Campaign" at Sri Guru Ravidass Gurudwara, village Hussainpur. This camp was presided over by Shri Rakesh Kumar (Sarpanch).
On this occasion, Sardar Chaman Singh (Project Director) while addressing the villagers said that a large number of youth in Punjab are getting addicted to drugs. Which has become a big problem for our future. But the government is making a lot of efforts to prevent drugs.
Still, the youth are getting stuck in the quagmire of drugs, the results of which are coming out negative. Giving information on the campaign against drug-free India and the war on drugs, he said that the government has made many strong arrangements for drug prevention across Punjab, has opened free hospitals for drug addicts, where drug addicts can get their treatment free of cost as per their wish. He said that we should connect the youth with our culture.
He said that just as we solve any problem in our family on priority basis, similarly we should solve the problem of our village as a problem of our home, with which we can make our village drug-free and thus make our Punjab drug-free.
He said that sometimes due to any problem at home, the youth takes the help of drugs, due to which they start consuming big drugs like heroin. He appealed that we should give maximum time to our children, each of their problems should be solved on priority basis, so that the youth never uses wrong things.
Mr. Parvesh Kumar (staff member) also shared detailed information about the treatment of patients at the center that any drug addict can get free treatment by staying in the center for a month as per his wish, because addiction cannot be cured by staying at home, to get rid of addiction it is necessary to reach out to psychiatrists and drug rehabilitation centers. Addiction makes a person physically and mentally ill. On this occasion, Mr. Rakesh Kumar (Sarpanch) thanked the Red Cross team and appealed to the villagers to stay away from drugs and said that they will continue to organize anti-drug awareness camps. On this occasion, villagers Ranjit Singh, Balvir Singh, Jaswant Rai, Raj Kumar, Kulwinder Kaur (MNREGA Mehta), Balvir Chand, Ranjit Singh, Gurbachan Ram, Amrik Ram, Surjit Ram, Santokh Ram and other villagers were present.
