National Poetry Sagar Celebrates Womens Day by Releasing Five Books
Patiala: National Poetry Sagar celebrated International Women's Day, an event in which sixty poets from various states across the country participated. On this occasion, the special guest, Mr. Kundan Gogia, attended the event accompanied by his wife. Mr. Suresh Nayak (Former Principal, ANM College, Rajpura), Mrs. Shahnaz Jolly (Program Director, Doordarshan Chandigarh), Dr. Hari Singh Jachak (Vice President, Punjabi Sahitya Sabha, Ludhiana), Mrs. Sarla Bhatnagar (Principal, Veer Haqiqat Rai School), and Mr. Upkar Singh also graced the program with their presence. The event was formally inaugurated with a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The special guests lit the ceremonial lamp while offering prayers to Goddess Saraswati. Mr. Ravinder Sharma, the President of the Sabha (Society), spoke about the organization's activities, stating that National Poetry Sagar upholds the spirit of "One Country, One Nation, One Society, and Humanity," and provides a platform for new writers to express themselves. He remarked that the pen possesses the power to encapsulate all the colors of life and serves to keep human beings free from all afflictions.
Introducing the special guests, Mrs. Asha Sharma, the President of the Sabha, observed that each of today's guests represents an institution in their own right. She noted that they serve as guiding lights for enlightened writers within the literary sphere. Mrs. Asha Sharma extended a warm welcome to all the poets, writers, and guests present. She also expressed her appreciation for the collaborative support provided by the Sabha's team. The proceedings of the event were skillfully anchored by Mrs. Jagriti Gaur and Dr. Tarlochan.
The details of the books unveiled before the audience during this program are as follows: *Swayam Di Anubhuti* by Asha Sharma; *Shri Gita Kavyanjali* by Asha Sharma; *Geetan De Shagan* by Suresh Nayak; *Asha* by Indu Pal; and *Misri Ke Lamhe* and *Safarnama* by Bhagwan Das Gupta. These books explore themes such as the zest for life, the journey of existence, the human being's worldly odyssey, the inner spiritual quest, the ultimate journey toward attaining life's goals, and the journey of integrating the teachings of the Gita into one's daily life. The melodious tunes of the songs continued to serve as a constant source of encouragement for "Nari Shakti" (women's empowerment).
The encouraging words of the guests served as guiding beacons for navigating the struggles of life. In her concluding remarks, Hitu expressed her sentiments, stating that if she were to continue receiving invitations to attend this event every year, she would consider it her privilege to participate annually. The President of the Sabha, along with the guests, felicitated all the authors present at the gathering. The President of the Sabha, Asha Sharma, extended her vote of thanks to all the guests in attendance and bid everyone farewell following the luncheon. The event proved to be a resounding success.
