National Lok Adalat to be held in Sangrur district on September 12
Sangrur, August 28:- Under the instructions of National Legal Services Authority (NALSA), New Delhi and under the auspices of Punjab State Legal Services Authority, National Lok Adalat is being organized on September 12, 2026 at District Court Complex Sangrur and Sub Divisional Court Complex Dhuri, Sunam and Moonak.
While giving information in this regard, Secretary of District Legal Services Authority, Sangrur Mr. Ashish Thathai, Civil Judge (Senior Division)/CJM said that in this Lok Adalat, cases pending in the esteemed courts like Criminal Compoundable Cases, Bank Recovery Cases, MACT Cases, Matrimonial, Labor Disputes, Land, Pay Allowance, Revenue Cases (pending in District and High Court Courts) etc. are being filed. Apart from this, pre-litigation cases like bank recovery cases, labor disputes and others are being filed. He said that those who want to get their cases related to the above subjects resolved through Lok Adalat can file their application in the concerned Honorable Court where their case is pending or can file their application in the office of the concerned Legal Services Authority/Committee to get new cases resolved through Lok Adalat.
He has appealed to the people that maximum people should file their related cases in this National Lok Adalat and get them resolved. Regarding the benefits of filing a case in Lok Adalat, he said that the decision of Lok Adalat is final, its decision is not appealed anywhere and the case is permanently resolved. Time and money are saved in Lok Adalat. The decision of Lok Adalats is recognized as a civil decree.
