Monthly meeting of Pensioners Association PSPCL Mandal Nawanshahr was held
Nawanshahr:- Monthly meeting of Pensioners Association was held under the leadership of Mandal President Narinder Kumar Mehta at Vishakrama Temple Nawanshahr. Starting the proceedings of the meeting, the pensioners who came to the meeting wished everyone a happy new year and paid tribute to the employees and pensioners who lost their lives during the past year by observing two minutes of silence.
After this, the speakers including Satpal Bhatia, Pala Ram Surjit Charan, Prem Chankoa, Shambhu Rahon, Ravinder Bhaskar, (i.e. Ashok Kumar, i.e. Surinder Pal, i.e. Tarvinder Singh, i.e. Jaswant Rai, i.e. Atma Ram, i.e. Harbans Singh, all SDOs) etc. said in their address that the Punjab government is not holding meetings with the joint front of employees and pensioners to resolve the demands of the pensioners. This distrust policy being adopted by the government was strongly condemned.
Shiv Kumar Tiwari, Deputy General Secretary Punjab, Kulwinder Atwal, Circle President, and Vijay Kumar, Circle Finance Secretary, protested against the Electricity Bill 2025, the new four labor code laws, the sale of government lands to their favorites and big corporate houses at cheap prices. According to the joint struggle drawn up by farmer organizations, public organizations and employee organizations against the central government and the Punjab government, they are participating in the earth-burning demonstrations and flag marches being held in villages and cities with various data including tractors, cars, motorcycles and a strong appeal was made to participate in the next struggles as well.
Madan Lal, playing the role of stage secretary, said that those who make special contributions to the struggles and activities of the pensioners' organization. Each of those senior pensioners' comrades is honored in the monthly meeting of the month of January of the new year so that all pensioners remain enthusiastic in the struggles being waged for their rights.
Continuing this tradition that has been going on for almost thirteen years, pensioners born in the years 1952 and 1953 including Hardev Singh, Amar Bahadur, Chhotu Ram, Jhalman Hansron, Jaspal Singh, Kashmir Singh, Karnail Bharata, Madan Lal Bichhouri, Madan Lal Ramraipur, Prem Salempur, Rampal, Pyara Singh Panchi, Surinder Rahon, Inderjit Sodhi and Baldev Raj were honored with blankets and badges as gifts.
Apart from these, Deputy General Secretary of the State Committee Mr. Shiv Kumar Tiwari, Mr. Kehar Singh Divisional Superintendent Nawanshahr and Mr. Tarundeep Duggal Senior Assistant Office Superintendent Civil Surgeon Shabshah Nagar who was invited as the chief guest were also specially honored by the Mandal Committee. A large number of employee pensioners were present on this occasion.
