MLA Vivek Sharma distributes checks worth Rs 65 lakh to 90 disasteraffected families

Una, January 13: Kutlehar MLA Vivek Sharma (Vikku) today (Tuesday) distributed checks worth Rs. 65 lakh to 90 disaster-affected families of the Kutlehar area at the Water Resources Department guesthouse. On this occasion, Vivek Sharma said that the state government, under the leadership of Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu, stands with the people in every time of crisis.
Vivek Sharma (Vikku) said that so far, a total of over Rs. 3 crore in assistance has been distributed to 290 disaster-affected families under the Kutlehar assembly constituency. The current state government has made the disaster relief policy more people-friendly and has made a historic increase in the relief amount for families whose homes were completely damaged in the disaster. Earlier, this assistance amount was only Rs. 1.5 lakh, but now it has been increased to Rs. 7 lakh.
He expressed his special gratitude to the Chief Minister for this. Talking about the development works being carried out in the Kutlehar assembly constituency, Mr. Vikku informed that the construction of the Datwara to Panoh road has been completed at a cost of approximately Rs. 2 crore, which has directly benefited about 1200 people in the area and has made transportation easier. He also said that a total of 62 new electricity transformers have been installed in the Kutlehar area during the current tenure, which has provided relief to the people from the long-standing problem of low voltage.
He informed that approximately 300 kanals of land have been identified in the Baul area of ??the Kutlehar assembly constituency for setting up an industrial area, which will lead to the establishment of industries in the future and provide new employment opportunities to the youth of the area at the local level. He said that the overall development of the area and the empowerment of the youth are among the government's top priorities.

Vivek Sharma extended his heartfelt wishes and greetings to all the people of the Kutlehar assembly constituency on the occasion of Lohri and Makar Sankranti. Additionally, the Lohri festival was celebrated with great joy and enthusiasm by all those present. Cultural programs were also organized during the event.
