S.A.S. Nagar, 12 March- The newly appointed Secretary of the Punjab School Education Board, Shri Keshav Goyal, P.C.S., has assumed charge as Secretary. Board officials/employees and the P.A. staff of the Secretary’s office were present to welcome Shri Goyal.
Shri Keshav Goyal is a P.C.S. officer of the 2016 batch. Shri Goyal belongs to the city of Malout in district Sri Muktsar Sahib. During his administrative career, he has served on several important positions. During his service as S.D.M. Jalalabad (Fazilka) and S.D.M. Anandpur Sahib, he received special appreciation for his efficient and transparent administrative approach. Apart from this, in the year 2022 he also served in the Chief Minister’s Office of the Government of Punjab and has also handled important responsibilities as A.M.D. in various government institutions such as Punjab State Cooperative Supply and Marketing Federation Limited (PUNSUP), Invest Punjab, and Verka. During his service in different departments, Shri Goyal played an active role in effectively implementing the major schemes of the Government at the grassroots level and ensured transparency and accountability in administration.
After assuming charge as Secretary of the Punjab School Education Board, Shri Goyal thanked the Government of Punjab and said that the Punjab School Education Board is a very important institution of the state, and the functioning of the Board will be made completely transparent, rule-based, and effective. He stated that all work will be carried out strictly according to rules and regulations and that no negligence in official work will be tolerated. He also assured that issues related to employees will be heard and resolved, and efforts will be made to maintain a positive and stress-free working environment for employees so that officers and employees can perform their responsibilities professionally without any hindrance.
The Board expressed confidence that under the leadership of Shri Keshav Goyal the functioning of the Punjab School Education Board will become even more effective, transparent, and accountable, and the delivery of educational services across Punjab will be further strengthened. He also stated that during the ongoing examinations of Class 10 and Class 12, strict monitoring will also be maintained over all the arrangements made by the Punjab School Education Board.
