International Womens Day celebrated at Prof Simmi Agnihotri Government College

Haroli/Una, March 9 (Rajveer Chopra): International Women's Day was celebrated with great enthusiasm and dignity at Prof. Simmi Agnihotri Government College. The program was organized under the guidance of the college's Principal, Dr. Rajendra Kumar. He began his address with the verse, "Yatra naryastu pujyante ramante tatra devataah," and stated that where women are respected, gods reside there.
In his speech, he highlighted women's empowerment, the role of women in education, and their significant contribution to the development of society. Welcoming Dr. Pallavi Sharma, he said that moving the chariot of life forward requires both male and female wheels.
Dr. Pallavi Sharma from Ayush Ayurvedic Hospital was invited as the chief guest on this occasion. She provided important health information to the students, explaining that women are the pivot of the family, and therefore, they should take special care of their health. She emphasized that providing women with equal opportunities is the foundation for true progress in society.
During the program, speeches, poetry recitations, and awareness activities were organized, raising awareness among students about women's rights and dignity.
In her address, the Principal stated that today's women are advancing in every field and playing a vital role in the development of society. She encouraged students to remain vigilant about women's dignity and equality.
At the end of the program, Professor Captain Sonika Saini thanked the guests. On this occasion, all the women of the college, including Professor RS Dadwal, Dr. Shakuntala Rana, Dr. Bindiya Chandel, Dr. Richa Sharma, Professor Kalpana Sharma, Professor Jyoti Sharma, Professor Raman, Professor Anjali, Sapna Ji, and Sona Ji, were honored with mementos.
They all pledged to promote women's dignity and equality.
