Hoshiarpur:- Independence Day on 15th August was celebrated with patriotism and enthusiasm at Civil Hospital Hoshiarpur. On this occasion, Civil Surgeon Dr. Mandeep Kaur hoisted the national flag. Senior officers of the Health Department, doctors, paramedical staff and other employees participated in the event.
The event was led by SMO Incharge District Hospital Dr. Navjot Singh and SMO Dr. Neha Paul. On this occasion, Deputy Medical Commissioner Dr. Swati, District Vaccination Officer Dr. Seema Garg, District Health Officer Dr. Jatinder Bhatia, District Family Welfare Officer Dr. Ranjit Singh, District Mass Media Officer Ramandeep Kaur, Principal of ANM Training School Mrs. Sukhwinder Kaur, President of Lions Club Hoshiarpur Pearl Lion Vijay Arora along with doctors, paramedical staff and other health workers were present.
On this occasion, the students of ANM Training School performed the national anthem, which filled the atmosphere of the event with patriotism and national spirit.
Addressing the event, Civil Surgeon Dr. Mandeep Kaur extended her greetings on Independence Day to all the officers and employees. She said that the country's independence reminds us of the great sacrifices of the freedom fighters and martyrs. She motivated all the officers and employees of the Health Department to discharge their responsibilities with complete honesty, dedication and spirit of service.
She said that every employee of the Health Department is playing an important role in providing quality and better health services to the people. The main responsibility of the Health Department is to protect the health of the people and provide them with timely health facilities.
During this, the staff members who performed their duties with full dedication, honesty and dedication and showed excellent performance were honored with certificates. The Civil Surgeon praised the honored employees and encouraged them to work with similar diligence and dedication in the future as well. During the event, the great martyrs and freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for the country's independence were remembered.
