Independence Day Celebrated at MC Zoological Park Chhatbir with Patriotic Spirit

Chhatbir, August 15:- On the historic occasion of the 80th Independence Day of India, celebrated today, August 15, 2026, the Field Director of MC Zoological Park, Chhatbir, led the celebrations with the flag-hoisting ceremony at 8:55 AM.
Despite the morning rain, the atmosphere was filled with patriotic spirit as staff members, children and residents of the zoo staff colony gathered under umbrellas to pay their respect to the Tricolour. The flagpole, decorated with saffron, white and green balloons, added to the grandeur of the occasion, with the Indian National Flag fluttering against the backdrop of lush green trees.
Addressing the staff, the Field Director reminded them of the importance of our fundamental duties as citizens. He emphasized that just as the zoo works towards the conservation of wildlife and biodiversity, every individual has a responsibility to protect the environment, respect the country's diversity and contribute towards its progress.
The children of the zoo residential colony, holding small national flags in their hands, added joy and innocence to the celebrations. Their enthusiastic participation symbolized the future of India—a generation inspired to love freedom and fulfil its responsibilities. Traditional sweets were distributed among the children and staff, further strengthening the spirit of unity and celebration.
The ceremony was not only a tribute to India's hard-won freedom but also served as a reminder that patriotism lies in our everyday actions—from protecting nature to promoting harmony in society. The Field Director concluded the ceremony with a heartfelt message: “Our duties are the foundation of our democracy. Let us honour our freedom by fulfilling them with honesty and dignity.”
The Independence Day celebration at the zoo beautifully reflected the true spirit of the occasion—patriotism, responsibility and community spirit.
