HighRisk Pregnant Women Sensitized About Delivery PNC and Nutritious Diet

Bathinda, September 11, 2026:- As per the directions of Civil Surgeon Bathinda, Dr. Tapinderjot, high-risk pregnant women were sensitized at the Aam Aadmi Clinic/Sub-Centre Dhapali about health protection and the necessary health services required during pregnancy. On this occasion, information was provided about essential precautions for staying healthy during a high-risk pregnancy.
Dr. Vanshika said that regular health check-ups, timely vaccination and a nutritious diet during pregnancy are very important to ensure the health of pregnant women and their unborn children. She said that special monitoring of high-risk pregnant women and providing them with the required health services in a timely manner is a major priority of the Health Department. She appealed to pregnant women not to neglect their health and to immediately contact a health institution if they experience any health problem or notice any warning signs of risk.
District BCC Narendra Kumar provided pregnant women with detailed information about the correct procedure for washing hands. He explained that hands should be thoroughly washed with soap and clean water before preparing or eating food, after using the toilet, and before and after caring for a child. Proper handwashing can help prevent various infections and diseases. He said that pregnant women should pay special attention to their diet and follow the instructions given by doctors or health workers. They were advised to include green vegetables, seasonal fruits, pulses, milk and dairy products, cereals and other nutritious foods in their diet. He said that the mother’s health is directly linked to the health of the unborn child; therefore, balanced nutrition, cleanliness and regular health check-ups should be given priority during pregnancy.
On this occasion, Health Department officials and employees also informed the pregnant women about warning signs that may arise during pregnancy and advised them to immediately contact the nearest health institution in case of any problem. CHO Sarabjit Kaur, Health Worker Baldev Singh, ANM Karamjit Kaur, Pharmacy Officer Sonia, Clinical Assistant Jaswinder Kaur and others were present on the occasion.
