Health Department Director reviews implementation of Chief Ministers Health Scheme
Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, February 10:- Director of Health and Family Welfare Department Dr. Hitinder Kaur today reviewed the progress of implementation of Chief Minister's Health Scheme at District Hospital Mohali and gave necessary instructions to the health officials. She asked the officials to expedite the registration and card making work of health insurance cards being prepared for free cashless treatment up to Rs. 10 lakh so that people can get this prestigious health facility on time.
Dr. Hitinder Kaur assessed the patient registration exercise, beneficiary verification structure and inter-departmental coordination related to the scheme in the hospital. She also sought detailed information about the arrival of patients in the hospital and admission of patients under this scheme. He said that this scheme launched by the Punjab government is very beneficial for the people and the officials should ensure that the beneficiaries do not face any kind of hassle in making the cards.
Dr. Hitinder Kaur appreciated the officials for the good coordination between AIIMS Mohali and District Hospital Mohali and said that inter-departmental coordination is very important for the effective implementation of such big health insurance schemes. She said that maximum people should be made aware about this important scheme as health insurance card is very important for the good health of all the people of Punjab.
The officials informed them about the infrastructure, digital process and administrative improvements made to implement this scheme, which includes improvements in the registration exercise and coordination among clinical departments.
Deputy Director Dr. Surinder Kaur, Civil Surgeon Dr. Sangeeta Jain, Executive Principal of the Medical College Dr. Navdeep Saini, SMO Dr. Parminderjit Singh and other senior officials were present on the occasion.
