Haryana Governments Big Decision for Cotton Farmers

Chandigarh, August 26:– Haryana Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shri Shyam Singh Rana said that the state government has decided to provide financial subsidy to farmers on adopting micronutrients and integrated pest management with the aim of increasing cotton production in the state and providing protection to crops from pests. Under this special scheme, cotton growing farmers of the state can get a subsidy of up to Rs 4,000.
Shri Rana said that farmers will be given a subsidy of 50 percent or Rs 2,000 per acre (whichever is less) on the purchase of agricultural inputs of micronutrients and integrated pest management, the maximum limit of which has been fixed at two acres.
He also said that farmers will have to purchase agricultural inputs only from semi-government, cooperative societies or authorized vendors as per the recommendations of Ch. Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar. After this, to avail the subsidy, farmers will have to upload their purchase bills on the official portal of the Agriculture Department www.agriharyana.gov.in. The Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister further informed that the last date for uploading the bills has been fixed by the department as 15th September 2026.
