Haryana Accelerates Key Infrastructure Projects
Chandigarh, September 16:- Haryana Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi today reviewed the progress of major infrastructure projects in the state at a high-level meeting of the Progress and Project Monitoring Group held here. The meeting was briefed on the progress of projects related to metro rail, industrial infrastructure, healthcare services and logistics.
Shri Rastogi directed the concerned departments, district administrations, Union Government ministries and executing agencies to ensure better coordination to accelerate the work on all projects and complete them within the stipulated timelines.
During the meeting, officials informed that the Rs 5,452.72-crore Gurugram Metro project is progressing as per the planned schedule. Besides connecting Millennium City Centre with Cyber City, the project will also be extended up to the Dwarka Expressway. Work at the site has commenced after permission was received for the use of government land.
Significant progress has also been made in the Rs 4,679-crore Hisar Integrated Manufacturing Cluster project. The entire land required for the project is now under the control of the government and environmental clearance has been obtained. Besides, 10 bids have been received for the Rs 707-crore Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) tender, and their evaluation is underway.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of the Rs 1,646.43-crore AIIMS Majra, Rewari project. The Deputy Commissioner of Rewari informed that technical approval worth Rs 236 crore has been granted for road and rail overbridge connectivity, and a tender notice (NIT) worth Rs 169 crore has been prepared.
The Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub project at Nangal Chaudhary is also progressing rapidly. The first phase of the project covers 408 acres of land, which has been transferred to the Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). The work on external connectivity and the internal rail yard has been completed, and the Request for Proposal (RFP) process for selection of the concessionaire is progressing.
The meeting also reviewed the progress of the Western Dedicated Freight Corridor project, along with various ongoing power transmission projects in the state.

Singh; Principal Secretary, Labour Department, Shri Rajiv Ranjan; Commissioner and Secretary, Energy Department, Smt. Ashima Brar; Managing Director, Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam, Dr. Aditya Dahiya; Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation, Shri Vinay Pratap Singh; Special Secretary, Monitoring and Coordination, Dr. Priyanka Soni; and other senior officers.
