Government Focusing on Providing Technical Education to Students Chief Minister
Chandigarh, September 7:- Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that the government is focusing on providing quality and technical education to students in the state so that they can acquire skills according to the demands of the present time. The government has approved the purchase of 5 lakh data SIM cards for students.
The Chief Minister was chairing a meeting of the High Powered Purchase Committee on Monday. Haryana Higher Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda, Cooperation and Tourism Minister Dr. Arvind Sharma, Health Minister Aarti Singh Rao, Chief Minister's Principal Secretary Arun Kumar Gupta and several other senior officers were also present at the meeting.
5 Lakh Tablets to be Given to Students from Classes 10 to 12
The Chief Minister said that 5 lakh tablets will be provided to students from Classes 10 to 12. Data SIM cards will be purchased for these tablets. In addition, the procurement process for 220-watt tubular-type lead-acid batteries for the Haryana Power Transmission Corporation has also been approved. The purchase includes five types of batteries, including 100 Ah, 200 Ah and 120 Ah batteries.
59 Advanced Life Support Ambulance Services Approved under NHM
At the meeting of the High Powered Purchase Committee, the Chief Minister approved the annual overhauling, repair, maintenance and operation of the Asandh Sugar Mill, operated by HAFED, for one year at a cost of Rs. 11.90 crore, including equipment. At the meeting, 33 Advanced Life Support ambulances for the southern zone and 26 for the northern zone were approved under the National Health Mission to provide better healthcare services to citizens.
Service works worth more than approximately Rs. 90 crore were approved at the HPPC meeting. Additional Principal Secretary Dr. Sumita Mishra, Principal Secretary Vijay Singh Dahiya, Commissioner and Secretary Ashima Brar, Director of the Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, and MD HVPN Dr. Aditya Dahiya, along with several other senior officers, were present on the occasion.
