Patiala:- Following the request of Manager, Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib Ji and as per the approval of Deputy Commissioner and President, District Red Cross Society, Patiala, the Medical First Aid Team of Bhai Ghanaya St. John Ambulance Brigade, Patiala along with an ambulance van led by Shri Harinder Singh Karir (Assistant Commissioner (St. John) and Corps Commander (Bhai Ghanaya Corps)) was sent to Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib from 25.12.2025 to 28.12.2025 during Shaheedi Jor Mela 2025.
This team set up a medical post day and night during the Jor Mela. Vaid Harmesh Singh personally provided free medicines for the First Aid Post and checked up the patients. Shri K.K. Bansal, Mr. Jaspal Singh Divisional Commander and Mr. Ranjit Singh Ambulance Officer in-charge.
The brigade members provided free medicines and bandages to 4526 needy persons at the First Aid Post day and night. The seriously injured persons were given first aid and taken to the Civil Hospital, Fatehgarh Sahib. Apart from this, 4 children who were separated from their parents were handed over to their parents.
The Civil Surgeon, Fatehgarh Sahib inspected the First Aid Post and appreciated the members of the brigade. The Manager, Gurdwara Sri Fatehgarh Sahib Ji also congratulated the members of St. John Ambulance Brigade, Patiala, Mr. Harinder Singh Karir in-charge, Vaid Harmesh Singh, Mr. K.K. Bansal, Mr. Jaspal Singh, Mr. Ranjit Singh, Mr. Rajesh Kumar, Balvir Singh, Mr. Dharampal, Mr. Paramjit Singh, Mr. Gurkirat Singh, Mr. Samser Singh, Mr. Sanjeev Kumar Pharmacist and Mr. Balwinder Singh appreciated the service rendered during the Shaheedi Jor Mela 2025.
Mr. Pritpal Singh, Secretary said that the members of Bhai Ghanaya Ambulance Brigade diligently set up first aid posts at various events. They reach the spot at the time of sudden accident, bandage the injured persons and take them to the hospital as per the requirement.
