Fatehabad Polices public awareness and rehabilitation efforts continue under Jeevan Jyoti

Ratia, December 6:- Operation "Jeevan Jyoti" being run across the district for drug prevention and rehabilitation under the leadership of Superintendent of Police Shri Siddhant Jain, IPAS, is continuously yielding impressive results. As per this guidance, the de-addiction team visited various villages of Ratia sub-division, met the drug addicts who had quit drugs and collected detailed feedback on their health, treatment and social rehabilitation.
The team led by SI Sundar first interacted with the youth under treatment and who have become drug free in Ratia and Bhirdana areas. The team collected detailed information about the progress of the rehabilitation process, their continuous adherence to medication, family support and their participation in activities like employment and education.
Meanwhile, the victims and their families expressed their gratitude for the timely contact and assistance provided by the police. After this, the team visited various rural areas and furthered the treatment of eight drug addicts by providing them with medicine from the Civil Hospital. These include:
Village Sukhlampur 2, Lali - 1, Hijrawan Kalan - 1, Nikuana - 1, Jandwala Bagar 1, Dayad - 1, Kunal - 1 The police team encouraged the victims to take regular medicine, seek counselling, exercise and stay away from drugs, and appealed for constant monitoring and support from their families.
In addition, the de-addiction team also conducted awareness campaigns through road meetings among the public at Ratia bus stand and workers at Ratia grain market.
The people present in the meetings were provided with information about the ill effects of drugs, its impact on families, available government treatment facilities, helpline numbers and how to move forward in a positive way after quitting.
Fatehabad Police said that under Operation Jeevan Jyoti, monitoring, counseling, availability of medicine and community awareness of drug-free youth will continue, ensuring another effective campaign to make the district drug-free.
