Una, January 13 - With the aim of making the road safety campaign a success in Una district, awareness camps are being organized through various departments to educate people about road safety rules.
Regional Transport Officer (RTO) Una, Ashok Kumar, informed that the Transport Department, in collaboration with the Health Department, is organizing special free eye check-up camps for drivers. The objective of these camps is to check the eyesight of drivers and promote safe driving.
The RTO said that the eye check-up camps will be held on January 14 at ISBT Una, on January 16 at Truck Union Tahliwal, and on January 21 at Truck Union Gagret. Expert ophthalmologists will examine the eyes of the drivers at these camps, and free spectacles will also be distributed to drivers as needed.
He urged drivers to take maximum advantage of these camps, stating that good eyesight is the first condition for safe travel and that such efforts will help in reducing road accidents.
