District Traders Commission Reviews Issues Related to Traders and Shopkeepers

Sahibzada Ajit Singh Nagar, September 7:- District Traders Commission Chairman Shri Ranjit Pal Singh held a meeting with officials of the concerned government departments to review various issues related to traders and shopkeepers of the district.
Chairing the meeting, Assistant Commissioner (General) Dr. Ankita Kansal obtained department-wise information and directed the officials to take necessary action on the concerned matters on a priority basis as per the prescribed rules and timelines. She emphasised ensuring effective coordination among departments to avoid unnecessary delays.
Dr. Ankita Kansal said that the district administration is committed to ensuring a conducive environment for the business community and establishing better coordination between traders and government departments. She asked the officials to adopt a sensitive and prompt approach towards matters related to their respective jurisdictions.
On the occasion, Chairman Shri Ranjit Pal Singh and other representatives of the Traders Commission brought various issues related to the business community to the notice of the administration. The concerned officials provided information about the action taken in various matters and also shared information regarding the procedure wherever required.
The meeting was attended by District Traders Commission Vice-Chairman Shri Tarlochan Singh Baidwan, Chairman of Mohali constituency Shri Akwinder Singh Gosal, Shri Yashpal Bansal from Kharar, besides Joint Deputy Director, Local Bodies Shri Varinder Jain, Assistant Commissioner, Municipal Corporation Mohali Shri Manpreet Singh, Executive Engineer, PSPCL Shavinder Singh and other officials and representatives.
The Assistant Commissioner directed the officials to maintain continuous coordination with the Traders Commission and ensure timely follow-up of departmental action. She also emphasised providing timely information to the concerned representatives regarding the action taken and its outcome.
The district administration reiterated its commitment to further strengthening coordination with the business community and ensuring transparent, effective and time-bound delivery of government services.
