Chandigarh, August 15:- Haryana Chief Minister Shri Nayab Singh Saini unfurled the National Flag at Hansi on the occasion of the 80th Independence Day and extended his heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the people of the state on Independence Day and the festival of Teej. Paying tribute to the known and unknown martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country’s freedom and for safeguarding the nation after Independence, he said Haryana has always played a leading role—from the freedom struggle to protecting the country’s borders.
The Chief Minister honoured Hansi boxer Narendra Berwal, a silver medalist at the Commonwealth Games, and presented employment guarantee certificates to nine local youth under the Service Security Act. Schoolchildren presented a colourful cultural programme, while police personnel from HPA, Madhuban, also presented an impressive show. The Chief Minister took the salute from the parade and highlighted Haryana’s development journey. Elaborating on the achievements of the present government, he said the state is moving rapidly ahead with the vision of “Developed India–Developed Haryana.”

Hansi Becomes Haryana’s 23rd District
The Chief Minister said that Hansi has become the 23rd district of Haryana and that he was privileged to unfurl the National Flag here on Independence Day. To ensure smooth administrative functioning in Hansi, 471 posts have been sanctioned for the development of the district. The 50-bed hospital has also been upgraded to a 100-bed hospital. New divisions and sub-divisions of the Public Works Department have been established to accelerate development works.

Call to Move Forward with the Vision of ‘Developed India–Developed Haryana’
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said that over the past nearly 12 years, Haryana’s development has progressed with equality, harmony and tolerance, while government efforts have made the lives of ordinary people simpler, easier and safer.
He appealed to the people of the state to embrace the great cultural traditions and high moral values and take a pledge to work hard for building a “Developed India–Developed Haryana.”

Youth Getting Jobs Through Transparent ‘No Cost, No Recommendation’ System
The Chief Minister said that over the past nearly 12 years, the state government has brought transparency into the system and ensured that services and schemes reach people at their doorsteps. Of the 217 commitments made in the Assembly election manifesto, 70 have been fulfilled during the past one-and-a-half years, while work is underway on 147 others.
He said e-governance has effectively curbed corruption and the role of middlemen. The transparent recruitment system based on “no cost, no recommendation,” online registration, online transfer policy and educated panchayats have emerged as hallmarks of the new Haryana.
He said more than 2 lakh youth have been provided government jobs over the past nearly 12 years through the transparent recruitment system. In the last one-and-a-half years alone, around 43,000 youth have secured employment. Skill training has been provided to 1.56 lakh youth.
With the objective of making youth job creators, the New Haryana Progressive MSME and Export Promotion Policy-2026 has been implemented, targeting investment of more than ?55,000 crore and creation of over 5 lakh new jobs.

Major Decisions in the Interest of Farmers
Shri Nayab Singh Saini said farmers remain at the centre of the government’s policies. Around 24,000 farmers in Haryana have adopted natural farming on nearly 44,000 acres of land. Procurement of 24 crops at Minimum Support Price (MSP) is being undertaken in the state.
So far, ?1.86 lakh crore has been directly deposited into the accounts of around 12 lakh farmers against crop procurement. Over the past nearly 12 years, farmers have received ?16,000 crore as compensation for crop damage.
He said a new law has been enacted to protect farmers from counterfeit fertilisers, seeds and pesticides. Modern agricultural technologies are also being promoted, including drones, remote sensing, artificial intelligence-based decision-making systems and digital farming.

Social Security for Poor, Deprived and Needy Families
The Chief Minister said the government’s objective is to ensure that the benefits of development reach the last person in society. The creamy-layer income limit for backward classes has been increased from ?6 lakh to ?8 lakh.
Under the Chief Minister Vivah Shagun Scheme, financial assistance of up to ?71,000 is being provided for the marriage of daughters. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 1.56 lakh houses have been provided, while nearly 32,000 poor families in urban and rural areas have been allotted plots under the Chief Minister Housing Scheme.
The social security pension has been increased to ?3,200 per month.
The Chief Minister said that under the PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana, 1.53 lakh solar systems have been installed. Under the Dayalu Scheme, financial assistance of ?3,152 crore has been provided to 83,536 families.

New Momentum to Women’s Empowerment
Shri Nayab Singh Saini said women are the greatest strength of society and their social, economic and educational upliftment is the government’s top priority.
Under the Deen Dayal Lado Lakshmi Scheme, women and daughters are being provided financial assistance of ?2,100 per month. So far, nearly 10 lakh women have received a total of ?2,042 crore.
He said the participation of women-led startups in Haryana has reached 50 per cent, and a new policy has been introduced to increase it to 60 per cent.
Under the Har Ghar Har Grihini Scheme, nearly 15 lakh families are being provided LPG cylinders at ?500. Women have been given 50 per cent representation in Panchayati Raj Institutions. As many as 500 women cultural centres have been opened in the state, while girls are being provided free education up to the postgraduate level.

Special Focus on Education, Sports and Health
The Chief Minister said a college has been established every 20 kilometres, while a PM Shri or Sanskriti Model School has been established every 10 kilometres in the state.
Haryana’s sportspersons have brought laurels to the state at national and international levels. At the Commonwealth Games held in Glasgow, 23 Haryana athletes represented the country and won 10 medals, including 7 gold medals. Similarly, of India’s six medals at the Paris Olympics 2024, five were won by athletes from Haryana, while Haryana athletes won four of India’s seven medals at the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
Medal-winning athletes are being provided cash awards of up to ?6 crore along with government jobs.
Highlighting achievements in healthcare, the Chief Minister said Haryana has 18 medical colleges, of which 12 have been established during the past 12 years, while five more medical colleges are under construction. Sixteen district civil hospitals have been equipped with modern facilities.
Free dialysis facilities for kidney patients have been ensured in all government hospitals and medical colleges. Under the Ayushman Bharat–Chirayu Scheme, nearly 30 lakh people have received free treatment worth ?4,226 crore.

Haryana Emerging as a Preferred Destination for Industry and Investment
Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini said the Make in Haryana Industrial Policy-2026 and nine other sectoral policies aim to attract ?5 lakh crore in new investment and create 10 lakh employment opportunities over the next five years.
During the pre-launch programme of the policy itself, MoUs were signed with 110 companies for proposed investments worth ?1.10 lakh crore.
He said work is underway on major projects including Gurugram Global City, Narnaul Logistics Hub, Hisar Manufacturing Cluster and Sohna Electronics Park.
Over the past nearly 12 years, 15.54 lakh micro, small and medium enterprises have been established in the state, providing employment to 97 lakh people.

Expansion of Basic Facilities in Villages
The Chief Minister said ?8,704 crore has been allocated in the current financial year for rural development. More than 6,000 villages are receiving 24-hour electricity, while piped drinking water has been supplied to more than 30 lakh rural households.
Thousands of solid and liquid waste management projects have been initiated in villages, and around 2,800 Amrit Sarovars have been developed.
As many as 996 Atal Libraries have been opened in rural areas, while 1,000 new Atal Libraries will be opened during the current financial year.

Roads, Rail and Air Connectivity Strengthened
The Chief Minister said that during the past nearly 12 years, roads covering 43,703 kilometres have been improved in Haryana at a cost of ?28,651 crore, while 2,417 kilometres of new roads have been constructed.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, roads covering 3,477 kilometres have been constructed at a cost of ?1,886 crore.
He said 22 new National Highways have been announced for Haryana during the past nearly 12 years, of which work on 14 has been completed. Every district of the state has now been connected with the National Highway network.
With the commencement of air services from Maharaja Agrasen Airport, Hisar and the surrounding region have been directly connected to the country’s aviation network. Direct flights have commenced from Hisar to Ayodhya, Delhi, Jammu & Kashmir and Jaipur.

Vats, Chairman of the Haryana Traders Welfare Board Shri Rajesh Thakral, DG Law and Order Shri Sanjay Kumar, DG CID Shri Saurabh Singh, Hisar Divisional Commissioner Smt.
