Buses inspected for school childrens safety documents of 87 vehicles checked

Una, March 10: In compliance with the Una District Administration's directives to ensure the safety of school children and compliance with prescribed safety standards, the police and related departments inspected the documents of school buses and vans at various locations on Tuesday. Approximately 87 school buses were inspected. Additionally, challans were issued under the Motor Vehicles Act against 13 drivers who violated safety rules.
It is noteworthy that, keeping in mind the safety of school children, Deputy Commissioner Una, Jatin Lal, had issued necessary instructions regarding the operation of school buses and other school vehicles yesterday and directed the concerned officials to conduct special inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
During these inspections, the fitness certificates, registration certificates, insurance, pollution under control certificates (PUC) and other necessary documents were checked.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal stated that the safety of school children is a top priority and such inspections will continue to ensure adherence to prescribed safety standards. He directed school management and vehicle operators to strictly follow all regulations. He added that strict action will be taken against those violating the rules.
