Block Samiti oathtaking ceremony celebrated with great enthusiasm in Garhshankar

Garhshankar: The oath-taking ceremony for the newly appointed Chairman of Block Samiti Garhshankar, Paramjit Pal, and Vice-Chairperson Jaspal Kaur was organized with great enthusiasm and grandeur. Punjab Vidhan Sabha Deputy Speaker S. Jai Krishan Singh Rouri attended the event as the chief guest, while officials from various departments, panchayat representatives, leaders of social organizations, and a large number of local residents were present.
During the event, Paramjit Pal was honored with garlands and a siropa. After assuming charge as the new Chairman, he stated that he would never let the love and trust bestowed upon him by the people go in vain. He promised to work day and night for the development of every village in the block. He emphasized that his priority would be to ensure that the benefits of government schemes reach the last person in the queue and to resolve public grievances on a priority basis.
Deputy Speaker S. Jai Krishan Singh Rouri congratulated Paramjit Pal and Jaspal Kaur, describing them as hardworking and popular leaders who have always worked for the interests of the people. He said that Block Samiti Garhshankar has found an able and responsible Chairman, which will further accelerate development projects in the region.
Rouri stated that the Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister S. Bhagwant Singh Mann, is committed to the balanced development of both villages and cities. He mentioned that continuous work is being done to strengthen roads, drinking water, education, health, and other basic infrastructure in the Garhshankar constituency, and more major development projects will be dedicated to the public in the near future.
He appealed to all Block Samiti members to rise above party politics and work in the public interest as a team. He added that serving the people is the greatest duty. The event was attended by various dignitaries, including OSD Charanjit Singh, Market Committee Chairman Baldeep Singh Saini, Youth leader and MC Prince Chaudhary, Block President Gulshan Thakur, and several other local representatives and social workers.
