Aurangabad- Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday appealed for votes on his and Nitish Kumar's guarantees at an election rally near Devmod. He told how Bihar is prospering due to the double-engine government at the Centre and the state. He paid tribute to the great freedom fighters of the district, Anugrah Narayan Singh and Jagapati Babu. The Prime Minister mentioned his three main resolutions in the public.
He talked about industry and employment generation, development in agriculture and irrigation sector and women empowerment. He also talked about the development in the region due to the construction of Aurangabad-Bihta railway line. He assured the early completion of the North Coal Canal project. He gave the credit for this to former MP Sushil Kumar Singh.
He said that if the next government is formed, giving special emphasis on women empowerment, he said that poor women are being converted into Lakhpati Didi. He mentioned the assistance deposited in women's accounts, the reservations provided and the work done to make them self-reliant.
