Auditions begin for the Mata Shri Chintpurni Mahotsav2025
Amb/Una, November 3 – Preparations are in full swing for the second edition of the Mata Shri Chintpurni Mahotsav, which is shaping the religious and cultural tourism landscape in Himachal. Auditions for the festival's cultural evenings began on Monday in an enthusiastic atmosphere in the Amb College auditorium.
On the first day, young artists from Una, Chamba, and Kangra districts filled the auditorium with melody, rhythm, and enthusiasm with their captivating performances. Melodic singing, soulful dance, and melodious instrumental tunes created a festive atmosphere.
Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal announced that after November 3, auditions will also be held in the Amb College auditorium on November 4 and 6. He stated that this year's performances will focus on folk culture, tradition, and social messages.
He informed that a committee has been formed for the audition process under the chairmanship of the District Public Relations Officer, Una, consisting of the District Language Officer, Una, Assistant Professor of the Music Department of Amb College, and the Tehsildar, Amb.
The Deputy Commissioner stated that renowned artists and participants and award winners of national-level cultural competitions have been exempted from auditions. Other artists can apply at the SDM office, Amb, or send their applications to the email address [email protected].
This festival, which elevates religious and cultural tourism to new heights, will be celebrated with devotion, enthusiasm, and joy this year from November 14th to 16th. It is noteworthy that the first edition of the festival, held at Amb Grounds from September 26th to 28th last year, was a great success. This event not only captivated devotees and tourists, but also established a unique identity in the state's religious-cultural calendar.
