Ambala, January 28:- The NSS unit of Arya College, Ambala Cantonment is organizing a seven-day camp from January 28 to February 3. The first day of the camp began today with Saraswati Vandana. College Principal Dr. Anju Bala congratulated the volunteers for participating in the camp and highlighted the importance of the NSS motto "Not me but you". She encouraged the volunteers to work together and cooperate with each other.
Dr. Anita Godara was the main speaker in the first session of the camp. She created awareness among the students about drug abuse. She said that drug and alcohol abuse among the youth is linked to road accidents, violence, suicide and other behaviors. To stop this, we have to come forward and cooperate.
In the second session, Program Officer NSS Dr. Amandeep Makkar said that the main objective of the camp is to serve the society selflessly and think about others before yourself. He motivated the volunteers to stay together.
In the third session of the first day, the volunteers performed patriotic songs and motivated themselves by practicing NSS clap and NSS power clap. The first day ended with an introductory session about the programs to be held in the seven-day camp.
