AntiChitta Walkathon on September 16
Una, September 7:- As part of the public awareness campaign being run against drugs under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, an ‘Anti-Chitta Walkathon’ will be organized in Una on September 16. Deputy Commissioner Jatin Lal provided this information.
The walkathon will start from Indira Stadium, Una, and after taking a U-turn near the bus stand, will conclude back at Indira Stadium. Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu will flag off the walkathon at around 10 a.m. and will himself walk along with the participants. During this, the Chief Minister will also interact with the youth.
The objective of the walkathon is to make the youth aware of the harmful effects of drugs and to strengthen collective awareness against drugs in society. Special emphasis will be laid on motivating the youth to stay away from drugs and engage in healthy and positive activities.
The Deputy Commissioner appealed to the youth, educational institutions, social and voluntary organizations, and the general public to participate actively in this public awareness campaign. He said that active participation of every section of society is essential in the fight against drugs and that a drug-free and healthy society can be built only through collective efforts.
