Hisar, March 8: Public Works and Public Health Engineering Minister Ranbir Gangwa said that International Women's Day is an important occasion to remember the respect, rights, and contributions of women. Today, women are proving their talent in every field and playing a vital role in the development of society.
He was addressing a program organized on the campus of Reyansh International School on the occasion of International Women's Day on Sunday. After paying homage to the great social reformer Mahatma Jyotiba Phule and the country's first teacher, Mata Savitribai Phule, in his address, he said that proper development of any society is impossible without women's empowerment.
The Haryana government is implementing several schemes for women's education, safety, and self-reliance, which are benefiting the daughters and women of the society. The Cabinet Minister encouraged girl students to progress through education and set high goals in their lives.
He said that the purpose of celebrating International Women's Day is to strengthen the feeling of respect and equality towards women in the society. Such events develop social awareness and positive thinking among the students. On this occasion, colorful cultural programs were presented by the students of the school.
