Advance preparations for Phase2 of Census2027 should be ensured Dr Navjot Khosa

Sangrur, 3 September:- Under the chairmanship of Punjab's Director Census Operations-cum-Chief Principal Census Officer Dr. Navjot Khosa, a meeting was held today in district Sangrur to review preparations for Phase-2 (Population Enumeration) of Census-2027. The meeting was attended by Deputy Commissioner Sangrur Poonamdeep Kaur, Additional Deputy Commissioner Ankur Mahindru including all SDMs, concerned officers, Charge Officers and staff related to census.
Addressing the meeting, Dr. Navjot Khosa appreciated the Charge Officers and field staff for successfully and timely completing the activities of the first phase of census in the district. He said that advance planning and better coordination among all concerned departments is extremely necessary to complete the remaining works of Census-2027 within the stipulated time-frame.
Director Census Operations, appreciating the continuous efforts being made by the district administration and the staff related to census, expressed confidence that Sangrur district will also successfully accomplish all works related to Phase-2 of Census-2027.
Chief Principal Census Officer Dr. Navjot Khosa directed the Principal Census Officers and Census Officers that all necessary arrangements should be completed in advance for smooth and effective conduct of population enumeration and the concerned staff should be kept fully prepared for this work. He said that population enumeration is a very important task, for which clear planning, better coordination and full compliance of instructions at every level should be ensured.
Deputy Commissioner-cum-Principal Census Officer Poonamdeep Kaur assured that all works related to census will be completed by the district administration within the stipulated time-frame. She said that the district administration will efficiently carry out the census work as per the directions issued by the Office of the Registrar General and Census Commissioner of India so as to ensure obtaining accurate and reliable data.
During the meeting, a detailed roadmap was also discussed to carry out population enumeration under Phase-2 of Census-2027 in a timely and smooth manner. On this occasion, all concerned officers were asked to complete the necessary preparations at their respective levels in time.
On the occasion of the meeting, Charge Census Officers, Executive Officers and Tehsildars, Naib Tehsildars and other concerned officers were present.
