Administrative Bulldozer Action Against Two Illegal Colonies

Karnal, September 15:- The District Town Planner said that demolition action was carried out against two illegal colonies in the Karnal Urban Area with the support of the District Town Planner’s team and police force. The demolition action was conducted under the supervision of the Duty Magistrate and police. He said that the first illegal colony was located in village Bastara, opposite War Heroes Memorial School. The colony covered an area of approximately 5 acres. Its boundary wall and all paved roads were demolished. Similarly, the second illegal colony was located in village Kambopura, alongside Ansal API. The colony covered an area of approximately 1.5 acres. All paved roads in this colony were demolished.
He said that the department is continuously carrying out demolition action against illegal colonies and illegal constructions. FIRs are also being registered continuously against those involved in developing illegal colonies and carrying out illegal construction. The department is also informing the general public from time to time that anyone promoting illegal colonies or illegal construction will face the strictest possible action. All necessary action is being taken to curb illegal colonies and illegal construction, and no leniency will be shown towards illegal colonies or illegal construction.
He appealed to the general public not to fall into the trap of dealers and to buy plots in legal colonies developed in the city and build their homes. He also appealed to dealers to obtain a licence from Town and Country Planning Haryana, Chandigarh, and develop colonies so that the general public can benefit.
