Hoshiarpur- Taking another step towards giving a more attractive and modern look to the historic Dussehra Ground of Hoshiarpur, MLA Brahm Shankar Jimpa inaugurated a 101 feet high high mast light here. With this, the number of high mast lights in the ground has increased to three.
On this occasion, MLA Jimpa said that earlier it was pitch dark in this area of ????Chow and people were afraid even when they passed through here at night. But now due to the installation of high mast lights, the Dussehra Ground and the surrounding area of ????about one kilometer gives the illusion of day at night. On this occasion, local citizens expressed happiness and said that the changed look of Dussehra Ground is a matter of pride for the city residents.
Earlier, darkness and other obstacles used to hinder the organization of events here, but now better lighting and other facilities have completely changed the atmosphere. MLA Jimpa said that the Dussehra fair of Hoshiarpur is organized in the largest ground of North India, in which more than one and a half lakh people participate every year.
He said that in view of this huge event, the facilities are being continuously expanded. The Chief Minister of Punjab had announced the construction of concrete steps for the seating of the spectators, on the completion of which, people will have ample seating facilities. Apart from this, the road adjacent to the Dussehra ground will be beautified and will be converted into ‘Ram Marg’.
