With the help of BSF, we were able to reach these two villages. We distributed 100 ration kits to the residents. This relief work would not have been possible without the support of the BSF team. They arranged a boat and took us to Kalu Wala village, which is completely cut off and cannot be reached without a boat.
Both villages are badly affected by floods. Farmers will not be able to cultivate their land for the next 4–5 months. They will need our support for at least 2–3 months.
The affected families have expressed their urgent need for diesel, black fertilizer, and manure.
According to the organization, “Human beings are one, and the Dharma of humanity is one. To serve in times of need is the true Dharma.” The institution is making every possible effort to extend the required help.
Ravinder Thakur, President of AMURT Punjab, has also appealed to the general public to provide timely and need-based help to the victims.
