Mahilpur, May 19- In an effort to connect students with skill-centred employment and religious values, the Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa Study Circle unit of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Khalsa College Mahilpur organised a special lecture on the topic 'Future-oriented Employment Guidance' at the Gadri Baba Harjap Singh Convention Hall of the college. On this occasion, Dr Manmohanjit Singh, Dean of the College of Agriculture from Ballowal Saunkhri Centre, Balachaur of Punjab Agricultural University participated as the keynote speaker.
While presiding officers of the function included General Secretary of Sikh Educational Council and Study Circle Coordinator Prof. Apinder Singh, Principal Dr Parvinder Singh, Environmentalist and Writer Prof Rupinderjot Singh Babbu, Children's Literature Writer Baljinder Mann. On this occasion, Principal Dr Parvinder Singh delivered the welcome address.
He encouraged the students to participate in other activities going on in the college along with studies. On this occasion, the keynote speaker Dr. Manmohanjit Singh stressed the need for students to develop their personality in a multifaceted manner along with academic studies. He said that the coming time is of good communication skills, dialogue skills and interdisciplinary studies along with academic degrees.
He also stressed on the students to protect the values ??of their religion, culture and heritage and informed them about the employment opportunities in various fields after 12th and graduation. On this occasion, Prof. Upinder Singh remembered the students who joined the study circle and gave excellent services in other fields and thanked the keynote speaker Dr. Manmohanjit Singh.
