Gurdaspur- Senior leader of Shiromani Akali Dal Jathedar Sucha Singh Chhotepur visited the flood affected areas. On this occasion, Jathedar Chhotepur reached out to the affected families and assessed their financial losses.
Jathedar Sucha Singh Chhotepur said that due to the incompetence of the government, Punjab is facing huge losses today. Jathedar Chhotepur said that the Punjab government was busy in welcoming its leaders from Delhi, if the arrangements had been made on time, then the huge losses could have been avoided. Jathedar Chhotepur said that today the state machinery has completely failed. Leaving Punjab completely unclaimed, the Punjab government is dependent only on advertising.
Jathedar Chhotepur appealed to the Punjab and Central governments for immediate financial assistance and said that a relief package should be announced for the affected areas without delay and compensation of Rs. 1 lakh per acre should be provided to the affected families within the stipulated time.
