
Haryana signs MoU with NICDIT for world-class integrated manufacturing cluster in Hisar.
Chandigarh, August 21 - The Haryana Government has signed a State Report Agreement and Shareholder Agreement with the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) to develop an integrated manufacturing cluster in Hisar under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC) initiative. This is a significant achievement in the direction of industrial development of the state.
Chandigarh, August 21 - The Haryana Government has signed a State Report Agreement and Shareholder Agreement with the National Industrial Corridor Development and Implementation Trust (NICDIT) to develop an integrated manufacturing cluster in Hisar under the Amritsar-Kolkata Industrial Corridor (AKIC) initiative. This is a significant achievement in the direction of industrial development of the state.
The integrated manufacturing cluster, being developed in an area of ??2,988 acres in Hisar, is located near the recently dedicated Maharaja Agarsen International Airport. With a project cost of Rs. 4,680 crore and an investment potential of Rs. 32,417 crore, the cluster is expected to generate over 1.25 lakh employment opportunities.
Located between the Eastern and Western Dedicated Front Corridors, the project will prove to be an attractive destination for investments due to its good connectivity to NH-52, NH-09 rail network and major logistics hubs.
IMC Hisar will prove to be a major catalyst for industrial development and investment inflows, further strengthening Haryana's identity as a leading industrial hub in North India.
Through a business-friendly environment, the project will attract domestic and global investors, give a boost to the Make in India initiative and contribute to establishing India as a global manufacturing powerhouse.
The signing of these agreements reflects the shared vision of the Government of India and the Government of Haryana, which includes development of world-class industrial infrastructure, large-scale employment generation and continuous provision of opportunities to the youth of the state.
This collaboration will help in making Hisar a vibrant industrial and economic hub as well as making Haryana a preferred destination for investors and giving a new impetus to the industrial progress of the state.
These agreements were signed by Shri Rajat Kumar Saini, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, NICDC, Mrs. Amneet P Kumar, Commissioner and Secretary, Department of Civil Aviation, Government of Haryana and Shri Narhari Singh Bangar, Managing Director, Haryana Airport Development Corporation.
