
'Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan' to start from Hoshiarpur: Deputy Commissioner.
Hoshiarpur- The special campaign "Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan" being run by the Punjab government to promote sports and youth will start from Hoshiarpur this time. In this regard, the state-level inauguration ceremony will be organized with great enthusiasm and zeal on September 3 at Lajwanti Multipurpose Stadium, Hoshiarpur. State-level sports competitions will also start on this occasion.

Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain today held a meeting with the officials of the concerned departments at the District Administrative Complex and reviewed the preparations for the event. She said that the district administration is working with full seriousness to make this event successful and memorable. She instructed the concerned officers to ensure proper arrangements and not to let any kind of deficiency remain.
The Deputy Commissioner said that through this event, sports talents will be encouraged and new energy will be filled in the youth. He said that this initiative of the Punjab government is not limited to sports competitions only, but it is also a powerful medium to keep the youth away from social evils like drugs and move them forward in a positive direction.
During the meeting, various committees were formed to carry out various tasks smoothly. Each committee was assigned specific responsibilities, which include organizing sports competitions, organizing cultural programs, welcoming guests, security arrangements, traffic control, medical facilities, drinking water and sanitation arrangements.
The Deputy Commissioner said that all the officers should perform their responsibilities with honesty and dedication so that district Hoshiarpur can set an example for this event in the entire state.
Ashika Jain said that extensive preparations are being made by the district administration for this program. She also appealed to the residents of the district to reach the occasion in large numbers and not only encourage the players but also participate in making this important initiative a success.
On this occasion, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Nicas Kumar, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Amarbir Kaur Bhullar, Assistant Commissioner Oishi Mandal, SP Navneet Kaur Gill, RTO Amandeep Kaur, SDM Dasuha Kanwaljit Singh, SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjit Kaur, Assistant Commissioner Parampreet Singh, DSP Manpreet Kaur Shemar and other officers were also present.
