Chandigarh, June 16 – Haryana Health Minister Kumari Aarti Singh Rao today got her and her staff’s Abha cards made to take forward the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission under the Ayushman Bharat Yojana launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. During this, she also reviewed the work of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. On this occasion, she said that Ayushman aims to make India’s healthcare sector digital by creating a viable digital health ecosystem.
The main features of this scheme are to leverage digital public goods. This scheme has been designed with strict data security measures. Patient data is shared only with explicit consent. Health data remains with healthcare providers. ABDM provides the facility of safe sharing of sensitive health data instead of collecting it centrally. Some data is collected centrally for interoperability and trust.
The patient can link his/her health record with his/her Abha ID. He/she can secure, access and share the digital health record with his/her consent. ABDM team for operation in Haryana is actively working to create awareness and facilitate creation of Abha ID.
Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is being run under the leadership of State Mission Director Smt. Sangeeta Tetarwal.
On this occasion, Joint Director Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission Shri Kailash Soni gave detailed information about Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. He explained the benefits of creating Abha Card and gave detailed information about the separation of this mission from the Prime Minister Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana. Soon this scheme will be implemented in 2 health centers per health institution in 22 districts of the state, i.e. in total 44 health institutions. This will prove to be a new and transformative initiative in the field of digitalization of health institutions.
