During these camps, the supervisors provided detailed information about the five pillars of the Nutrition Campaign: the Golden 1000 Days, anemia management, diarrhea prevention, sanitation, and nutritious diet. They stated that, as every year, the Women and Child Development Department is organizing various programs at the Anganwadi level, supervisor circle level, and project level to protect targeted groups from malnutrition.
They stated that while public cooperation is essential for the success of the programs, inclusive participation of public representatives, school management committees, government departments, social organizations, and the entire public and private sector is required. He also made people aware of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao campaign.
He explained that it is essential to have periodic health checkups for pregnant women, lactating mothers, and newborns, and to ensure timely vaccinations and immunizations. Pregnant women, lactating mothers, and newborns should consume a balanced, nutritious diet, including iron-folic acid tablets, along with a diet rich in minerals, calcium, and iron.
Special attention should be paid to malnourished and partially malnourished children. Consulting a specialist doctor or dietitian can improve their health by providing them with appropriate treatment and a nutritious diet. He also informed everyone about the importance of yoga for staying healthy.
Representatives from the respective Gram Panchayats, health workers, members of the Mahila Mandal, Anganwadi workers, and other local residents were present on this occasion.
