Patiala, April 10 - Patiala Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Pare has directed the officials of all the banks providing banking services in the district to immediately settle the pending loan related cases in their banks. He was presiding over a meeting organized by the District Level Review Committee of the Lead Bank, State Bank of India here today to review the quarterly performance of all the banks in the district.
Patiala, April 10 - Patiala Deputy Commissioner Shaukat Ahmed Pare has directed the officials of all the banks providing banking services in the district to immediately settle the pending loan related cases in their banks. He was presiding over a meeting organized by the District Level Review Committee of the Lead Bank, State Bank of India here today to review the quarterly performance of all the banks in the district.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Dr. Harjinder Singh Bedi was also present on this occasion. Taking serious note of pending banking matters, the Deputy Commissioner said that if any fault is found in any case, immediate action should be taken in this regard and it should be ensured that the cases pending in the banks related to loans are settled by April 30.
He directed all the banking officials to adopt a sensitive attitude while providing banking services to their consumers.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner also reviewed the security and procedures of all the banks providing banking services in the district. He also instructed banks to strictly follow the guidelines issued by the Reserve Bank of India for security of currency chests, ATMs and cash vehicles. He said that the monitoring of the bank CCTV camera should also be done in the police control room So that immediate action can be taken by the police at the time of any untoward incident.
On this occasion, Lead Bank Manager Devinder Kumar conducted the proceedings of the meeting. Officials and employees of various departments and banks including Garima from RBI, DDM of NABARD Gurpreet Singh, Director of RSET Bhagwan Singh were present in the meeting.
