Mohali - Candidates contesting Panchayat elections are being harassed and unjustly harassed by the present government and the present administrative officers, so now we will form a party for justice against these administrative officers and present them in the court. The above views were expressed today by Manish Kumar, a resident of village Balongi and his wife, who are contesting the Sarpanch elections, while talking to journalists.
The victim couple, while answering the questions of the journalists, said that ever since they have started the process of submitting nomination papers, they are being constantly harassed by the administrative officers, due to which they are mentally disturbed and ultimately, what should not have happened, their documents were rejected, due to which his wife could not contest the Sarpanch elections.
Balongi resident Manish Kumar and his wife told that he is fielding his wife in the elections from Balongi Colony. And along with the name disappearing from the voter list, the chain of their voter list was also made to disappear by the officers and employees of the VDPO office. And on the pretext of file being lost, the officials of the concerned department deliberately stopped his file and later his nomination was cancelled by not showing his name in the voter list. Meanwhile, he named many officials and their posts and said that the officials keep telling him repeatedly that there is pressure on them, so they cannot do anything.
The victim couple said that they will soon approach the court with the help of their lawyer and file a named report against the accused officials. Meanwhile, he also alleged that there are many people in the voter list whose name was included after his wife's name and today they are in the electoral fray.

Officials denied the allegations
Mohali- The officials of the concerned department have completely rejected all the allegations made by the victim and they say that whatever work has been done or documents have been rejected, everything has been done within the ambit of the law.
