Chandigarh, August 28 - The 32nd meeting of the Northern Regional Council will be held on September 11 in Surajkund, Faridabad. The meeting will be chaired by Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah. A review meeting was held today through video conferencing under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Shri Anurag Rastogi to review the preparations for this meeting.
Mr. Rastogi said that the Chief Ministers, Lieutenant Governors and Chief Secretaries of eight states and Union Territories will attend the meeting. This includes Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh and Rajasthan as well as the Union Territories of Chandigarh, National Capital Territory of Delhi, Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh.
After the meeting, Divisional Commissioner Shri Sanjay Jun reviewed the security, traffic management, parking, accommodation transport, medical facilities and emergency services and directed the officials to complete all the preparations in a time-bound manner. He said that there should be no lapse in the preparations for this meeting of national importance.
