
Shaheed Bhagat Singh Shiksha Sewa Society honours Senior Trustee Sister Surinder Kumari Kochhar on the occasion of the centenary of the martyrdom of Ghadri Bibi Gulab Kaur Ji.
Hoshiarpur- Shaheed Bhagat Singh Shiksha Sewa Society has been contributing its full share to fulfill the dreams of the martyrs for a long time. Recently, a function was organized on the centenary of the martyrdom of Bibi Gulab Kaur and paid tribute to the martyrs. The function was presided over by Shaheed Bhagat Singh's nephew Professor Jagmohan Singh, President of the Democratic Rights Committee and Surinder Kumari Kochhar, Trustee Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee, Sardar Ranjit Singh Aulakh, Member of the Desh Bhagat Yadgar Committee and Sardar Talwinder Singh Heer, eminent writer and thinker of Punjabi.

Apart from the members of the presidium, Dr. Charanjit Kaur, Mrs. Ranjit Kaur Mahmudpur, litterateur and singer Dharminder Masani, Rajkumar Mahal Khurd and Satpal Saloh highlighted the contribution and sacrifices made by freedom fighters, Ghadri Babas and Ghadri Virangana Bibi Gulab Kaur.
Biba Neha, Mrs. Balwinder Kaur, Madam Gurwinder Kaur, Dr. Hari Krishna, Coach Sarabjit Singh, Balvir Singh and Jaspreet Kaur Nangal players and Society President Manjit Kaur Bola paid tribute to Bibi Gulab Kaur and the Ghadri Babas through their poems. Famous singer and poet Amardeep Banga handled the responsibility of conducting the stage well.
Sardar Bahadur Singh Sidhu and his wife Jatinder Kaur Sidhu, who came from Bullowal district, Hoshiarpur to attend the event, were honored. In his 42 years of age, Bahadur Singh Sidhu has donated blood 68 times and his wife has made a record by donating blood 33 times. This couple has the honor of being the first blood donor couple of Hoshiarpur district.
For which they have also received state awards.
