
Valedictory Function of Summer Camp Organized by Child Welfare Council, Punjab
SAS Nagar, June 14: The Valedictory Function of the Summer Camp organized by the Child Welfare Council, Punjab from June 2 to June 14, 2025, was held today at Bal Bhawan, Mohali. Smt. Geetika Singh, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General), SAS Nagar, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Also present were Smt. Prajakta Avhad, Chairperson of the Child Welfare Council, Punjab, Mrs. Ratinder Brar, Treasurer of the Council, and Dr. (Mrs.) Pritam Sandhu, Secretary of the Council.
SAS Nagar, June 14: The Valedictory Function of the Summer Camp organized by the Child Welfare Council, Punjab from June 2 to June 14, 2025, was held today at Bal Bhawan, Mohali. Smt. A total of 41 children actively participated in the camp. Over the course of the camp, they engaged in various enriching activities including Yogasanas, Art and Craft sessions, and Music classes. The music sessions featured the recitation of Sarasvati Vandana, Gayatri Mantra, and Mool Mantra. On the concluding day, the children gave impressive performances showcasing what they had learned during the camp.
The function began with a warm welcome to the Chief Guest, followed by a brief report presented by Dr. Pritam Sandhu, who highlighted the objectives and activities of the camp.
While addressing the gathering, Smt. Prajakta Avhad encouraged the children to participate in creative and positive activities that foster holistic development. She emphasized the availability of diverse career options today and urged children to make the most of emerging opportunities.
In her address, Smt. Geetika Singh appreciated the children's performances and lauded the efforts of the Child Welfare Council, Punjab, for organizing such meaningful initiatives. She emphasized the importance of involving children in constructive extracurricular activities and presented certificates to all the participating children.
The event witnessed the enthusiastic presence of over 60 parents, who appreciated the platform provided for their children's growth.
The function concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Mrs. Ratinder Brar, Treasurer of the Council.
