
Power Minister Mr. Anil Vij gave instructions to the officers of the Power Department.
Chandigarh, June 14 - Haryana Power Minister Mr. Anil Vij directed the officers of the Power Department to ensure power supply to the people of the state and the concerned SE will have to send a daily report to the Power Minister's office regarding power outages/cuts. He said that if any officer shows any negligence in relation to these instructions, strictest action will be taken against him.

He said that if any officer shows any negligence in relation to these instructions, strictest action will be taken against him.
Mr. Vij was responding to a question asked by media persons in New Delhi today regarding the supply of power in summer.
Arrangements have been made for 16 thousand megawatts of electricity -
He said that the Additional Chief Secretary of the Power Department has been instructed by him today that he will have to send a complete report to the Power Minister every day from each Superintendent Engineer (SE) regarding the number of hours for which electricity was not supplied in his jurisdiction and the reasons for non-supply. Mr. Vij said that there is no problem in any way regarding power supply in Haryana. In Haryana, we require a maximum of 16 thousand megawatts of electricity and we have made complete arrangements to supply 16 thousand megawatts of electricity.
Instructions to augment all power transformers -
He said that the Power Department is fully prepared for power supply and keeping in mind the summer season, we were already preparing. I had instructed the officials of the power corporations to augment all the transformers, that is, wherever a transformer of less capacity is installed, it should be repaired.
Transformer banks have been set up in all the circles-
Mr. Vij said that transformer banks have been set up in all the circles before the onset of summer so that there is no problem of any kind regarding the transformer. He said that the officials have also been instructed that it should be ensured that there is a vehicle and staff to change the transformer. In a meeting of the officials of the power department held recently in Chandigarh, they have instructed that electricity supply should be provided to everyone.
