Demonstration of emergency strategy in case of possible air attack during mock drill.

Hoshiarpur- Under the vigilance policy of the district administration, a successful mock drill related to civil defense was organized at DAV College Hoshiarpur on Tuesday. NCC and NSS students of various schools and colleges actively participated in this drill organized under the leadership of Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain.

In the mock drill, quick response was demonstrated during an air attack. During this, Home Guard, Civil Defense, Health Department, Fire Brigade, Punjab Police and many NGOs played their role well. Punjab Home Guard officials also gave important suggestions to the students present to deal with emergency situations.
At the conclusion of the drill, Deputy Commissioner Ashika Jain said that under the vigilance policy of the government, this exercise has been conducted to test the capacity and coordination of the district administration in any unpleasant or emergency situation.
She clarified that this was just a model exercise, so there is no need for the common people to be afraid or panic. He said that the purpose of the mock drill is to prepare the citizens mentally for such situations.
He appealed to the youth to follow the government instructions and cooperate in awareness campaigns. Officers and personnel of Civil Defence, Fire Department, Health Department, 12 Punjab NCC, Police and Home Guard participated enthusiastically in this mock drill.
Mutual coordination and quick response capability were also reviewed during the exercise. SDM Hoshiarpur Gursimranjit Kaur conducted the mock drill. This exercise was successfully completed with the cooperation of Punjab Police, Home Guard, Civil Defence, Health Department and Fire Brigade.
On this occasion, Tehsildar Larson Singla, Inspector Davinder Singh, Maninder Singh, Chief Warden Civil Defence Lokesh Puri and other officers and volunteers were also present.
