Patiala- Whether it is about drug addiction, health, traffic rules, laws, principles, disaster management, civil defence, first aid, fire safety and preparing students for safety and protection, then it is Kaka Ram Verma, retired training supervisor of Red Cross Society in Patiala, who is a former brilliant student of Dhudiyal Khalsa Senior Secondary School, Patiala, who is making commendable efforts for awareness by visiting schools, colleges, universities, NSS camps.
These views were expressed by Principal Parvinder Singh of Dhudiyal Khalsa Senior Secondary School while thanking Kaka Ram Verma for the rescue and protection of victims and properties during the wars organized in the school. School Management Committee member Harjeet Singh Sahni said that Kaka Ram Verma, by conducting practicals, explained what should be done to avoid the destruction caused by chemical, nuclear, atomic weapons and missiles used during wars.
Kaka Ram Verma said that in the past there were two world wars, wars between India, Pakistan and China, so to avoid natural and human disasters, wars, epidemics in future and to save precious lives and property, every student, teacher, civil police, factory worker, NSS volunteer, NCC cadet and people working in homes must get information about fire, gas leak, electric shock, fainting, heart attack, cardiac arrest etc. because more than 80 percent of the incidents happen due to negligence and most of the deaths happen due to not getting proper first aid, CPR, recovery position, ventilator artificial respiration on the spot. The school honored Kaka Ram Verma with the degree of Doctor of First Aid, CPR and Fire Safety.
